Voice and Data Cabling
At Pittsburgh Telecom Services, we provide voice and data cabling solutions throughout the United States and Canada. It’s what we’ve been doing since 1984, and it’s what we do better than anyone else.
Professionally Deployed Structured Cabling Solutions
A Pittsburgh Telecom Services cabling solution provides the platform upon which an overall information system strategy are built. With a flexible Pittsburgh Telecom Services cabling infrastructure, the structured cabling system can support multiple voice, data, video and multimedia systems.
Network Cabling Design and Consulting
A Pittsburgh Telecom Services designed solution takes into account the varying aspects of your commercial business and needs, along with your existing infrastructure. We realize that you have money invested in existing systems and our designs will include cabling integration of those systems into the design we specify.
Voice and Data Cabling
Pittsburgh Telecom Services will design, install, upgrade, and test structured cabling for both voice and data networks. Our customers benefit from a wealth of data cabling skills and years of network experience. We deliver our cable solutions with a commitment to do things right, delivered on time and within budget. We stand by our work and offer an appropriate SLA to complete our structured cabling solution. At Pittsburgh Telecom Services we believe in doing things right. If your project is anywhere in the USA or Canada we can manage it and complete it. All cables are neatly terminated, organized, labeled and tested with finished jacks, connection blocks and/or patch panels.
Fiber Optic Cabling
Traditional data networks that use copper wire for transmission are steadily being replaced by fiber optic networks.
At Pittsburgh Telecom Services fiber optics is often used in local area network (LAN) backbone cabling, although the technology is increasingly used for desktop cabling (connecting individual workstations to the network). It’s sometimes argued that the high bandwidth supported by fiber optics isn’t needed at the desktop, but as the use of bandwidth-hungry applications increases, the added potential will prove useful.
Needs Analysis, Including Site Visits
At Pittsburgh Telecom Services our cabling network design refers to the specialized processes leading to a successful installation and operation of the professional business network design. It includes determining the type of communication system(s) which will be carried over the network, the geographic layout (premises, campus, outside plant (OSP, etc.), the transmission equipment required and the network over which it will operate. We will be onsite to provide the most accurate estimate of work as possible. Designing a network usually also requires interfacing to other networks which may be connected over copper cabling and wireless in addition to fiber optics.
Next to consider are requirements for permits, easements, permissions and inspections. Once we get to that stage, we can consider actual component selection, placement, installation practices, testing, troubleshooting and network equipment installation and startup. Finally, we consider documentation, maintenance and planning for restoration in event of a future outage.
The design of the network must precede not only the installation itself, but it must be completed to estimate the cost of the project and, for the contractor, bid on the job. Design not only affects the technical aspects of the installation, but the business aspects also.
Pittsburgh Telecom Services has a long-standing reputation since 1984 for successful cabling and technology rollout projects for thousands of locations nationwide.
Our project team works with you to determine the exact goals and objectives of the project. We develop a project plan, which includes documentation covering the design, implementation, testing, and data acquisition required for the project.
Wireless LAN Deployment
When it comes to implementing a new wireless LAN, Pittsburgh Telecom Services pre-deployment planning can make a huge difference in terms of ensuring the optimal speed, scalability, and security of your wireless network for todays modern wireless LAN installations.
Wireless networks are relatively easy to implement these days, especially when compared to the prospect of having to route wires when deploying a new wired network or overhauling an existing one. At the same time, some pre-deployment planning can make a huge difference in terms of ensuring the optimal speed, scalability, and security of your wireless LAN. Pittsburgh Telecom Services uses the most modern wireless network technologies including Ruckus Wireless Technology.
Video, DVR, & Camera Installation
Pittsburgh Telecom Services can design and supply security cameras (CCTV, 720p and 1080p HD CCTV, and network IP), video surveillance systems, and CCTV equipment (Closed Circuit Television). We supply video surveillance systems for business and government.
